Power Skating Instructor
Crazy Eights Hockey is very excited to have their very own power skating instructor for summer 2015. Jackie Wedster-Kooistra’s hockey career began at the age of seven when she became a St. Jude Knight. After her peewee year, she played AAA hockey for Team Illinois (TI). She played for TI until her high school years when she decided to go to prep school and play varsity for Culver Academy in Indiana. After high school, she received a full scholarship to the University of New Hampshire where she played Varsity for four years and received many awards. During high school and college, she was selected to play at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid, NY and participate in Team USA U18 and U22 camps. She has traveled the country coaching youth hockey camps and clinics as a power skating coach. Jackie the co-owner of A and J’s power skating clinics and camps, a hockey coach, certified personal trainer, and strength and conditioning coach. She currently helps with USA hockey and the National Development Programs as the power skating coach. Jackie will run all of Crazy Eights morning power skating sessions and help with the off ice training. She has a wealth of knowledge and Crazy Eights is very fortunate to have her.
